PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tracey Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Stealth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tracey Ellison has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tracey Ellison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Stealth!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellison fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stealth avoids it really well and circles away.
Ellison tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stealth swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Stealth changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ellison looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ellison can't do much from the bottom here.

Stealth is trying to get an arm triangle but Ellison is defending well.
Ellison really is a fat lump.
A lull in the action here as Stealth stalls from top position.
Stealth working away.
Ellison is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Stealth goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ellison has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stealth but great work by Ellison.

Ellison is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stealth is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stealth can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rex Stealth has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ellison.
Ellison lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ellison.

We've been informed that Stealth has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Tracey Ellison will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rex Stealth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ellison dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stealth. That did some damage!

Ellison moves into the clinch.
Ellison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stealth smiles and moves away.
Ellison closes the distance but Stealth moves to the side

and Stealth counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

You can see the frustration on Ellison's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Rex Stealth.
I think Stealth has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
