Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of The Island, James McGuiness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ralph Tremonti!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tremonti is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGuiness sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tremonti fails to land the takedown.
Tremonti tries to move into range but McGuiness moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tremonti tries to clinch but McGuiness moves out of range.
Tremonti takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
James McGuiness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as McGuiness lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tremonti doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Ralph Tremonti has been cut.
Tremonti shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGuiness sprawls well. McGuiness wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tremonti gets slowly back to his feet.
James McGuiness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Tremonti.
McGuiness scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
McGuiness works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGuiness lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Tremonti takes one to the side of the head.
Tremonti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
McGuiness lands a head shot.
Tremonti is looking to clinch but McGuiness is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Tremonti or perhaps it was just good defense by McGuiness which made him look bad.
Tremonti drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McGuiness scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Tremonti takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Tremonti goes for a double leg but McGuiness avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGuiness continues to drive forward.

Tremonti gets control of McGuiness's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tremonti will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Tremonti looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGuiness is one step ahead there.
McGuiness has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tremonti is proving hard to escape from.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tremonti can do anything to dispel that myth.
McGuiness wants to control from the top but Tremonti keeps moving.
McGuiness has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

James McGuiness has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
McGuiness lands a head shot.

Tremonti closes the distance and pushes McGuiness back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGuiness looking to slow down the pace here.
Maybe McGuiness would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.
Tremonti is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McGuiness is defending well.

Tremonti tries to pull guard but McGuiness won't allow it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from McGuiness.
Tremonti tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McGuiness just stands there and leans against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Tremonti as McGuiness tries to tie him up.
Tremonti jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McGuiness walks away with a smile on his face. Tremonti gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
McGuiness tests Tremonti's chin there with a solid looking shot.
James McGuiness is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McGuiness smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Tremonti takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tremonti with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGuiness to score with a decent uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tremonti takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tremonti fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McGuiness avoids it really well and circles away.
Tremonti is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGuiness sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
McGuiness tests Tremonti's chin there with a solid looking shot.
McGuiness connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
McGuiness is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Tremonti uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGuiness.
Tremonti on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


That has opened up Ralph Tremonti's cut even more.
McGuiness throws a looping overhand right but Tremonti ducks down to avoid it.
Decent striking displayed by McGuiness there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McGuiness connects with the punch.
McGuiness is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


Tremonti is rocked!
McGuiness throws an overhand right that drops Tremonti like a sack of potatoes! McGuiness dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James McGuiness!
James McGuiness really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ace of Spades Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
The defeated Ralph Tremonti had this to say: 'Nie jest kolorowo, but i would be better fighter in the future! '.
