Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamie Cooley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jewer James!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James gets tackled into the cage by Cooley. Cooley maintains the clinch.
James is trying to push Cooley away but Cooley has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Cooley decides to pull guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
James trying to control but Cooley is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James throws a big right hand that misses.
James wants to control from the top but Cooley keeps moving.
James throws an elbow that misses. Cooley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Cooley!

James had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cooley defends it easily.

James looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cooley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

James has his foot on Cooley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cooley works his way back into a safe position though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Cooley moves into the clinch.

Cooley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamie Cooley will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

James throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

James shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cooley sprawls well. Cooley wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. James gets slowly back to his feet.

James shoots in for a takedown but Cooley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cooley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
