Thomas has chosen Two Steps from Hell as his entrance music. Din Thomas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jamie Gold's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Thomas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thomas throws a jab but it's blocked by Gold.

Thomas gets tackled into the cage by Gold. Gold maintains the clinch.

Gold takes a swing at Thomas's ribcage but misses.

Gold closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Gold pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've been hearing good reports from Gold's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gold working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thomas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thomas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thomas is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gold has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Thomas is looking to defend but Gold has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Thomas! Gold pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Thomas taps out and this one is all over!
