The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Byrne has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ming rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Byrne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Byrne forces Ming back against the cage and clinches.
Byrne tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ming tries to break free but Byrne pushes him back against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Byrne just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ming's brow.
Ming is trying to push Byrne away but Byrne has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Byrne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ming doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Byrne is tightening it up a little... Ming has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ming reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ming taps out! Nice BJJ there by Byrne!
