Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Danze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danze comes into the arena with Handle ur Bizness by the Mash Out Possee blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Danze as he jumps to the side.
No luck for Mendez with that takedown attempt.
Danze rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mendez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Danze avoids the body shot from Mendez.
Mendez throws an overhand right that lands on Danze's shoulder, as Danze tries to avoid the shot.
Mendez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Danze napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Danze tries to buck Mendez off but Mendez is having none of it.

My spies in immortals inform me that Mendez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Mendez dives in and grabs Danze's left leg, looking for a takedown. Danze pushes down on Mendez's head and hops out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Mendez or perhaps it was just good defense by Danze which made him look bad.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Danze counters with a single leg into guard. Mendez didn't expect that.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Danze will probably get the nod.
