Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blake Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taco Bueno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blake Nash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taco Bueno!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Blake Nash has been cut.
Nash blocks a jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bueno has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Nash jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bueno lands an overhand right.
Nash staying out of range there.
Nash connects with a crisp jab.
Nash throws a leg kick that misses.

Bueno pushes Nash up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nash breaks from the clinch.
Nash fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bueno.
The fighters circling - Bueno throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Nash wants to slow Bueno down by chopping away at his legs.

Nash throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bueno connects with a looping right hand.
Bueno throws a shot from downtown. Nash moves away and avoids it.
Nash is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice defenses there by Bueno.
Bueno fails with a takedown attempt.
Nash scores with a jab to the body.
Nash thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nash has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Synergy Fight Team in the buildup to the fight.
Bueno throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A left and a right from Nash both land. Nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bueno tries to work over Nash's front leg with a kick but Nash checks it.

Nash slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Nash throws a lazy right hand but Bueno sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bueno ducks right into an uppercut from Nash.
Nash closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nash uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bueno.
Nash scores with a push kick.
An inside leg kick from Nash misses.
Nash uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bueno.
Bueno tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nash scoring well with a low kick there.
Nash misses with a low kick.
Bueno throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nash ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bueno moves away.

Bueno gets a double leg takedown into Nash's guard.

Nash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bueno throws a big elbow that misses.
Bueno throwing strikes from guard but Nash blocks nicely.
Nash is adopting a defensive guard.
Bueno lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bueno is in close to Nash's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Nash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bueno has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bueno tries to roll over but Nash keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nash in particular looking to stall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bueno slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nash is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Blake Nash will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A jab lands there for Bueno.
That kick from Bueno tenderised Nash's leg. Nash is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nash swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A slow jab from Nash misses its intended target.
Nash loads up on a big right hand but Bueno slips the punch.
Bueno is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nash.
Nash buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Bueno scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nash lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bueno has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bueno and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Nash feints a jab promting Bueno to slip. Nash then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bueno slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nash buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Nash darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Blake Nash is winning the standup battle so far.
Bueno throws a shot from downtown. Nash moves away and avoids it.
Nash misses with a hook.
Bueno looks to throw the jab but Nash is out of range.
Nash misses with an uppercut.
Nash avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nash rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bueno counters with an inside leg kick.
Bueno looks to land a left hand but Nash moved out of range nicely.

and Bueno counters with a nice body shot.
Nash connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The fighters circling - Nash throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Bueno thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bueno connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nash momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nash walks into a straight right hand from Bueno.
Bueno clobbers Nash with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Taco Bueno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nash lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bueno lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Nash is rocked!


Blake Nash's cut is getting worse.
Nash misses with a hook. Bueno ducked under it nicely.
Oh Nash is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bueno scores with a jab to the head.
Bueno throws an overhand right that lands on Nash's shoulder, as Nash tries to avoid the shot.
Bueno wants to land a leg kick but Nash is out of range.
Bueno dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nash pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bueno back to the cage. Nash follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nash throws a wild body kick that Bueno sees coming a mile off.
Nash seems to have got his legs back now.
Bueno getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Nash moves away from the strike by Bueno.
Bueno tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Blake Nash is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nash throws a leg kick that is checked
and Bueno scores with a counter punch that sends Nash to the canvas! Bueno smells blood - he's punishing Nash with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Nash has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taco Bueno!
Taco Bueno decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
