Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Claude Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Patrick scores with a jab to the jaw.

It looks like Daniel Silva has been cut.
Silva throws a leg kick but Patrick sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Patrick throws a big shot that misses.
Patrick lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Patrick's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Patrick lunges at Silva with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silva's hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Patrick does a little dance to reset his feet.
Patrick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva is rocked!
Patrick cracks Silva with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Silva tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Patrick pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Silva is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Claude Patrick!
