The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jet tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jet takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Vicente throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vicente stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vicente wants it to stay on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mauricio Jet.

Jet shoots in looking for a takedown but Vicente manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jet's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
