And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Sutter!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy digs a good body shot into Sutter's ribs.
Guy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Guy throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Sutter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Guy won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Guy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sutter wants to control but Guy is keeping him busy.
Guy is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sutter controlling the position.
Sutter creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guy tries to buck Sutter off but Sutter is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy regains half guard, as Sutter was trying to land strikes.
Guy is staying active underneath Sutter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Guy tries to roll over but Sutter keeps him under control.
Sutter winds up and cracks Guy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Guy is trying is best to control the position here.
Guy tries to get to full guard but Sutter has control of the leg.
Guy won't allow Sutter to pass to mount.
Guy is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Guy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sutter.
Guy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sutter.
Guy is refusing to be controlled, as Sutter sits in half guard.

Guy is trying to control but can't.
Sutter throws a strike but Guy avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Sutter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sutter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guy keeping moving, preventing Sutter from controlling successfully.
Guy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sutter throws a strike but Guy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Guy is looking to stand up but Sutter won't let him.
Guy trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Sutter pulls Guy in to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Sutter wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sutter fails with the takedown.
Guy scores with a hook.
Guy cracks Sutter with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice sprawl there from Guy as Sutter shoots in.
Sutter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Guy. Guy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sutter. Guy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sutter moves away from the strike by Guy.

Sutter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sutter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sutter.
Guy is staying active underneath Sutter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Guy wants to improve his position but Sutter is controlling well.
Guy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Sutter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Guy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sutter.

Sutter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Guy cracks Sutter with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Sutter falls to his knees and Guy doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buddy Guy!
Our winner, Buddy Guy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
