The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlingate checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A low kick from Laser misses

and Howlingate decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Laser's guard.

Laser working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Howlingate has passed into half guard!
Laser has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Howlingate is working away from the top position though.
Laser looks like he's trying to stand up.
Laser is positioning himself well to prevent Howlingate advancing to mount.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bork Laser was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Laser rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Howlingate counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Laser has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Howlingate doesn't defend quickly enough and Laser has managed to lock this one up! Can Howlingate escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Laser on a fantastic submission victory.
