Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heath Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Parks has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heath Hamilton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jason Parks!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton wants to clinch up but Parks keeps it at a distance.

Hamilton drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hamilton stops Parks from standing up.
Parks has a closed guard, preventing Hamilton from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hamilton is looking to stand up but Parks won't let him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Parks is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Hamilton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parks on the ground.
Parks is thwarting Hamilton's attempts to control the position.
Parks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hamilton's head.
Parks is trying to control the action in half guard but Hamilton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Parks is looking to advance position but Hamilton won't allow it.

Parks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hamilton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Well Parks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
