PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ox Raman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Touko Vanhanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Raman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Who let the dogs out. Vanhanen has chosen Irwin - Työmiehen lauantai as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ox Raman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Touko Vanhanen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Vanhanen. Beautiful body shot.
A slow jab from Vanhanen misses its intended target.
Vanhanen swings for the body but Raman moves out of range.
Raman definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Touko Vanhanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vanhanen pinned against the cage. Vanhanen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Raman misses with an attempted mid kick.

Raman clinches.

Vanhanen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Raman staying out of range there.
Vanhanen throws a hook but Raman avoids it easily.
Raman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Raman shoots in for a takedown but Vanhanen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Raman throws a chopping leg kick but Vanhanen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Raman throws a wild body kick that Vanhanen sees coming a mile off.
Vanhanen lands with a nice body punch.
Vanhanen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vanhanen. Raman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Raman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vanhanen's waist but Vanhanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Raman off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ox Raman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vanhanen throws out a loose jab but Raman uses good head movement to avoid it.
A left lands for Vanhanen.
A jab from Vanhanen misses.
Vanhanen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Raman's head.
Vanhanen lands with a nice body punch.
Vanhanen misses with a two punch combination.
A big right from Vanhanen misses.
Vanhanen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Raman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
No luck for Raman with that takedown attempt.
Raman is breathing heavily.
Raman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vanhanen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vanhanen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Raman checks it well.
Vanhanen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Raman.
Vanhanen closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Raman! Vanhanen dives in looking to finish! Raman is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Touko Vanhanen!
A very excited looking Touko Vanhanen made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Ox Raman was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back'.
