Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Leach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Trevino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trevino comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Styles P - Holliday kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trevino throws a big shot that misses.
Leach misses with a looping right.
Trevino fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee Trevino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leach tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trevino was well out of range. Poor timing from Leach.
We've been told by Leach's head coaches at GTi Boot Camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Leach looks to throw the jab but Trevino is out of range.
Leach swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Trevino.
Leach really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Trevino lands a really nice looking cross but Leach seems unphased.
Leach gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Leach goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Trevino sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Leach clobbers Trevino with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Leach drops his hands momentarily and Trevino takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Leach counters with a body kick that stops Trevino in his tracks momentarily.

Trevino has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Leach finds it's way round the side to connect with Trevino's head.

Trevino's coach down at Cozad MMA LA Elite was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Trevino's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Trevino looks for the body kick but Leach saw that one coming.

Trevino moves out of range of the body kick from Leach.
Trevino checks a leg kick nicely.
Trevino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leach swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Trevino just misses with a punch to the body.

Leach ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trevino moves away.
Trevino takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Trevino is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Leach had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Leach on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Leach pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Leach lands a left and a right that send Trevino crashing to the mat, dazed. Leach thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Trevino is rocked!
Trevino throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trevino is still on wobbly legs! Can Leach finish him?

and Leach counters with a nice right hand that sends Trevino toppling to the canvas! Trevino scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Leach finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Leach dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Leach weaves into range and cracks Trevino right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Trevino goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Leach is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
