The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Opie throws a big elbow that misses.
Opie postures up in Wright's guard and throws a big left but Wright blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Opie working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
It looks like Booker Wright has been cut.
Wright looking for a sweep. Not yet Wright, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright is trying to keep Opie in close.
Opie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Opie is working Wright over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Wright is rocked!
Opie postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wright covers up, he's hurt! Opie keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Opie and the ref steps in to end the fight! Opie can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
