Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Baptiste Reno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Cantor!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cantor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baptiste Reno.

and Cantor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Baptiste Reno misses with a takedown attempt
and Baptiste Reno takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cantor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Baptiste Reno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cantor throws a hook but Baptiste Reno avoids it easily.
Cantor lands a jab.
Baptiste Reno ducks under a wild hook from Cantor.
Cantor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Baptiste Reno has his takedown stuffed
and Cantor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cantor feints a jab promting Baptiste Reno to slip. Cantor then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Baptiste Reno slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Cantor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Cantor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Baptiste Reno.

Baptiste Reno moves forwards but Cantor connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Baptiste Reno gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cantor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Baptiste Reno doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cantor counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cantor enables Baptiste Reno to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cantor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Baptiste Reno is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Cantor wants to hit a switch here but Baptiste Reno passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cantor there!
Cantor really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Baptiste Reno is working for a guillotine from mount but Cantor frees his head quite easily.

Cantor wants to hold on but Baptiste Reno pushes him away.
Cantor is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Cantor is trying desperately to improve position.
Baptiste Reno wants to control the pace but Cantor is squirming around nicely.
Cantor regains half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baptiste Reno prevents Cantor from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Cantor dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Baptiste Reno doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Cantor to counter with a crisp jab.
Baptiste Reno takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cantor works Baptiste Reno's body with a nice hook.
Baptiste Reno is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cantor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Cantor lands a nice hook to Baptiste Reno's body. Baptiste Reno takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Baptiste Reno misses with a takedown
and Cantor counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Cantor counters with a three punch combo that has Baptiste Reno backing up. Baptiste Reno nods at Cantor to acknowledge the strikes.

Baptiste Reno displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cantor throws out the jab.
Oh Baptiste Reno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cantor cracks Baptiste Reno with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Baptiste Reno tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cantor pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Baptiste Reno is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Cantor!
A relieved looking Roger Cantor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
