The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ceban tries for a takedown but Cannon circles away easily
and Cannon counters with an inside leg kick.
Ceban has his takedown stuffed
and Cannon counters with a one-two to the body.
Ceban misses with a takedown attempt
and Cannon counters with a good, hard body kick but Ceban shrugs it off.

Ceban shoots in and bounces Cannon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ceban drops back looking for a leg! Cannon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cannon manages to kick Ceban off! Ceban jumps back into Cannon's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ceban has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ceban throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cannon's waist but Cannon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ceban off to one side.

Cannon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ceban manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cannon closes the distance and clinches up with Ceban, looking for a takedown. Cannon pushes Ceban against the cage but Ceban circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ceban is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cannon is just riding it out for now. Ceban eventually gives up the hold.

Ceban is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Dima Ceban showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cannon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ceban back to the cage. Cannon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ceban tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cannon defends well and Ceban ends up having to push Cannon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We're going to have a standup here because Renato Cannon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Ceban tries to keep at a distance but Cannon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Cannon pushes Ceban off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cannon.
Cannon throws a right and a left that Ceban avoids nicely.
Ceban is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cannon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
