Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Monty Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen frenzal rhomb - Mum changed the locks as his entrance music. Monty Ali had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ali looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith connects with a single shot there.
Smith takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smith looks for the body kick but Ali saw that one coming.
Ali loads up on a big right hand but Smith slips the punch.
Ali connects with a leg kick. Smith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ali swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Ali takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Monty Ali has been cut.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ali moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ali throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.
Smith misses with a body shot.
Ali jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ali misses with the combination.
Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Smith swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Ali buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ali ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ali was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ali throws a leg kick that is checked
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.

Ali is rocked!
Ali is holding his hands too far apart here. Smith throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Ali is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

After winning the bout, Joe Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
