The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheeseman fails to land with a series of punches.
Cheeseman throws a right and a left that Tuppurainen avoids nicely.
Tuppurainen has a takedown stuffed.
Cheeseman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cheeseman.
Tuppurainen's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tuppurainen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Cheeseman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Teppo Tuppurainen has been cut.
Cheeseman avoids the head kick by Tuppurainen.
Cheeseman throws a right hand that Tuppurainen ducks under and follows up with a left that Tuppurainen also avoids with ease.
Cheeseman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tuppurainen.

Tuppurainen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cheeseman wants to get back to his feet.

Tuppurainen wants to work for an arm triangle but Cheeseman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tuppurainen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cheeseman keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tuppurainen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tuppurainen works his way into full mount!

Cheeseman is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Tuppurainen locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Cheeseman is forced to tap!
