PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chiamaka Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Morris's choice of entrance music: The Game. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Congo closes the distance but Morris moves to the side
and Morris counters with a three punch combo that has Congo backing up. Congo nods at Morris to acknowledge the strikes.
Congo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Congo wants to clinch but Morris slips to the side
and Morris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Congo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Morris walks into a straight right hand from Congo.
Morris misses with a series of wild punches.

Congo gets a clinch.
Congo working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Congo fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morris tries to work over Congo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Congo swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Morris turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Morris manages to end up in side control.
Congo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Congo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morris on the ground.

Congo is trying to buck Morris off.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Morris cracks Congo with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Congo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Morris asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Congo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Congo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Morris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Congo is pushing Morris's head away, looking to escape. Morris manages to hold on to the position though.

Morris has hold of Congo's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Congo seems comfortable defending it but Morris has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Congo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Congo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Morris couldn't care less - he's delighted!
