The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nales has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nales lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Nales keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Benton's efforts to push away.
Benton blocks a body shot from Nales.
Benton is pushing Nales up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Benton breaks the clinch.
Nales showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Benton.
Nales ducks under a wild hook from Benton.
Nales has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nales slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Grant Benton has been cut.
Benton fails to land with a series of punches.
Nales wants to clinch up but Benton keeps it at a distance.
Nales tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Benton swivels and escapes.
Nales uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Benton.

Benton throws a big shot that misses.

Nales throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nales ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Benton cracks Nales with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nales takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Benton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Benton blocks a jab.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benton pushes down on Nales's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Benton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nales is just riding it out for now. Benton eventually gives up the hold.
Nales wants to get back to full guard.
Benton looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Benton is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nales is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
