The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houle goes for a double leg but Goldsmith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Goldsmith continues to drive forward.
Houle tries to pull guard but Goldsmith forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Goldsmith breaks the clinch.
Houle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin Houle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goldsmith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Goldsmith stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goldsmith wants it to stay on the feet.
Goldsmith attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Houle doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Goldsmith counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Houle gets the takedown into side control.
Goldsmith is trying to improve his position.
Houle is trying to get an arm triangle but Goldsmith is defending well.
Houle tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Houle looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
You can see the frustration on Goldsmith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Houle is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Goldsmith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Houle has an Americana. Goldsmith didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Houle is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Houle hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
