Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ayarauuf Balpal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Hendricks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tobias Hendricks!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balpal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hendricks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Balpal after a bit of a struggle.

Balpal jumps guard and drags Hendricks to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hendricks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hendricks connects with a couple of short punches.

Balpal looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hendricks passes into half guard.
Hendricks scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Hendricks throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hendricks throwing shots but Balpal is blocking nicely.
Hendricks lands with a punch from half guard.
Balpal is not content to let Hendricks control the position.
Hendricks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Balpal throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Hendricks is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Balpal sees it coming and defends easily.

Balpal wants to improve his position but Hendricks is controlling well.
Hendricks wants to free his trapped foot but Balpal is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Balpal is refusing to be controlled, as Hendricks sits in half guard.

Balpal is trying to stand up here but Hendricks is controlling him well.

Balpal is looking to control Hendricks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Balpal avoid being mounted?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Balpal avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hendricks.
Hendricks throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hendricks working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Balpal wants to control but Hendricks passes into side.
Hendricks connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Balpal some visible discomfort.
Balpal wants to control but Hendricks postures up.
Balpal is not content to let Hendricks control the position.
Hendricks scores with a couple of short elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hendricks tries to advance to mount but can't.
Hendricks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Balpal keeps working.
Balpal takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Hendricks scores with a couple of short elbows.
Hendricks lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Balpal is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hendricks lands an elbow.

Balpal is rocked!

Hendricks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Balpal, who protects the arm well.
Oh Balpal is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hendricks grinds an elbow into Balpal's temple.
Hendricks lands a nice forearm strike.
Hendricks lands a strong strike to the head of Balpal. That's dazed him! Hendricks looking to finish here. Balpal is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Hendricks lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
