The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lynch tries to bum rush Throb with a series of wild strikes but Throb uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lynch misses with a leg kick
and Lynch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lynch misses with a low kick.

Throb misses with a head kick.
Lynch fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Throb checks it well.
Lynch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Throb throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lynch misses with a leg kick.
No joy there for Throb, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Throb clinches up against the cage.

Throb breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Throb swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lynch throws a low kick but Throb moves out of range easily.
Throb scores with a shot to the body.
Lynch misses with a double jab.
Lynch wants to land a leg kick but Throb is out of range.
Throb definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Throb feints and as Lynch raises his hands in defense, Throb changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Throb passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Throb in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Throb scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Lynch to see if he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Throb is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lynch has escaped the position, nice work there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Throb stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Lynch throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jeremy Lynch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Throb checks a low kick from Lynch.
Throb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lynch circles away quickly and effectively.

Throb shoots in and bounces Lynch off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Throb is working Lynch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Throb wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving.
Lynch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lynch can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Throb has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lynch's face.
Throb working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Throb postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lynch looks a forlorn figure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Throb working for a submission but Lynch is keeping him at bay.
Throb lands a big shot there that rocks Lynch but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Throb has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Throb loads up with a big shot that hurts Lynch! He's pulled Throb in close but Throb has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Lynch survive? More strikes from Throb and Lynch is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
