Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grimmjaww Jaggerjacks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheppard tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaggerjacks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jaggerjacks has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jaggerjacks pulls Sheppard into guard.
Jaggerjacks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Sheppard really is a fat lump.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jaggerjacks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jaggerjacks has his foot on Sheppard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sheppard works his way back into a safe position though.
Sheppard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaggerjacks controls Sheppard momentarily but Sheppard frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Grimmjaww Jaggerjacks was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Jaggerjacks shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sheppard napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jaggerjacks tries to move to mount but Sheppard blocks the move with his legs.
Sheppard tries to buck Jaggerjacks off but Jaggerjacks is having none of it.
Sheppard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jaggerjacks wants to stand but Sheppard is controlling his arm.
Jaggerjacks in side control lands a decent elbow.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

You can see the frustration on Sheppard's face as Jaggerjacks controls the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jaggerjacks tries to stand but Sheppard is controlling his head.
Jaggerjacks is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sheppard will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Grimmjaww Jaggerjacks wasn't active enough on the ground.

Jaggerjacks closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sheppard tries to break the clinch but Jaggerjacks is controlling the position.

Jaggerjacks has clasped his hands together around Sheppard's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Sheppard tries to control but Jaggerjacks manages to take his back.
I would not like to be Sheppard right now.
Jaggerjacks is hanging on to Sheppard's back as he tries to escape.

Jaggerjacks has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Sheppard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sheppard tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Sheppard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jaggerjacks is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sheppard wants to hold on but Jaggerjacks pushes him away.

Grimmjaww Jaggerjacks dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jaggerjacks throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sheppard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jaggerjacks is in Sheppard's guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jaggerjacks. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Sheppard wants to sweep here but Jaggerjacks controlling him for the moment.
Jaggerjacks is working Sheppard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jaggerjacks lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
