PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bwang Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Syatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Stepping Razor. Syatt is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tony Bennett - I wanna be around. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bwang Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Syatt!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Syatt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jackson is trying to defend but Syatt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jackson is trying to control but can't.
Jackson keeping hold of Syatt's head, controlling as best he can.
Jackson trying to hold on to Syatt's head to control him but Syatt postures up.
Jackson is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Titan Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Syatt on the ground.

Syatt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Syatt.

Syatt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.
Jackson is staying active underneath Syatt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Syatt.

Syatt tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jackson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jackson wants to control but Syatt is keeping busy.

Syatt is trying to work for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.

Syatt not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Syatt prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Jackson is working hard here to advance position.
Syatt is controlling the pace.
Syatt is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Syatt dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Syatt fails with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Syatt dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Syatt's head and hops out.
Jackson tries to work over Syatt's front leg with a kick but Syatt checks it.
Syatt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bwang Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Syatt.

letting Jackson counter with a right hand.
Syatt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


It looks like Lee Syatt has been cut.
Syatt shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jackson cracks Syatt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jackson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Syatt to stand back up!


Syatt is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Syatt's jaw. Syatt's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Jackson does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bwang Jackson!
Our winner, Bwang Jackson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
