The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcneel gets a double leg takedown into Holt's guard.
Mcneel is stalling in the full guard.
Mcneel wants to get up but he can't break Holt's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mcneel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Holt looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mcneel has picked Holt up and slammed him! Holt can't keep hold of the triangle and Mcneel manages to pass to side control!
Mcneel tries to move into full mount but can't pass Holt's legs.
Mcneel has hold of Holt's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Holt tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mcneel cranks the arm and Holt screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Holt, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
