Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antero Wursty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AL Lickertwat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wursty might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth - The Skull Beneath The Skin. Antero Wursty could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to AL Lickertwat's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antero Wursty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, AL Lickertwat!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lickertwat lands a head shot.
Wursty loads up on a big right hand but Lickertwat slips the punch.
Lickertwat has a takedown stuffed.
Lickertwat takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Lickertwat misses with a wild body shot.
Wursty uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lickertwat.
Lickertwat throws a head kick but Wursty moves out of range.
Lickertwat throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lickertwat throws a jab but it's blocked by Wursty.
Wursty tries to score with a low kick but Lickertwat moves his leg out of the way.

Wursty feints and then cracks Lickertwat's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lickertwat down.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wursty. Lickertwat shrugs it off though.
AL Lickertwat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lickertwat looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wursty is fending him off so far but Lickertwat persists. Nope, Wursty circles away and we're back to standing.

Lickertwat uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wursty.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wursty enables Lickertwat to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wursty manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lickertwat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wursty swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wursty goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Wursty.
A head kick misses from Lickertwat.
Lickertwat throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wursty on the side of the head.
Lickertwat jabs Wursty right on the nose. Wursty blinks but takes it well.

Wursty lands with a kick to the temple. Lickertwat shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like AL Lickertwat has been cut.
Wursty feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lickertwat's calf.
Wursty tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lickertwat is able to avoid easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lickertwat scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Wursty makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wursty.

Lickertwat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lickertwat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wursty holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round but I would say that Antero Wursty will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lickertwat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wursty pinned against the cage. Wursty gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Wursty counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wursty lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lickertwat has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lickertwat and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lickertwat connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Wursty tries to clinch up but Lickertwat circles away and keeps his distance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antero Wursty.
