Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zdeno Chara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chara throws out the jab.
Man bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chara throws out a loose jab but Man uses good head movement to avoid it.
Man fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chara looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Man uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chara has time to react.
Man scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chara doesn't seem bothered though.
Chara takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Super Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man misses with a body punch
and Chara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Man has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Zdeno Chara will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chara takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Man uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chara.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chara moves away.

Chara lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Man at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Man cracks a nice hook into Chara's ribs.
Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chara's waist but Chara gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Man off to one side.

The fighters circle momentarily. Man darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Chara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Man shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Man tries to score with some ground and pound. Chara controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man wants to take a breather but Chara is having none of it.
Chara is trying to stand up here but Man is controlling him well.
Man thows a huge punch but Chara dodges it nicely.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Man connects with a nice short shot to Chara's temple.

Man is taking a breather. Chara says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chara's head.

Chara drops back, looking for a kneebar! Man looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Man looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Man!

Man thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Chara looks like he's trying to stand up.
Man looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Man looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chara with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
