The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsson lands a head shot.
Axelsson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Project was well out of range. Poor timing from Axelsson.

Axelsson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Project has time to react.

Project walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Axelsson has picked Project up - he's going for a ride! Axelsson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Project is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Project isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Axelsson stacks Project on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Axelsson!
Project on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Axelsson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Project has escaped the position, nice work there.
Axelsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Project keeps working.
Axelsson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Axelsson looks up at the clock and then as Project takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Axelsson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Project looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Axelsson has hold of Project 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Project seems comfortable defending it but Axelsson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Project is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Project is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Axelsson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
