PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolf Flow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald's entrance music is Get Busy Living. A fine choice. Flow has chosen Rich homie quan- difference as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronnie McDonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wolf Flow!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonald rushes Flow and presses him up against the cage.

McDonald pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McDonald.
Flow misses with a combination

and McDonald counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McDonald is taking a breather. Flow says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McDonald has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Flow wants to get back to his feet.
McDonald controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ronnie McDonald wasn't doing enough on the ground.
McDonald misses with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for McDonald with that takedown attempt.
Flow throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling McDonald to counter with a crisp jab.

McDonald shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Flow wants to stand back up but McDonald manages to pass into side control.
Flow parries the strikes from McDonald easily there. McDonald is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Flow to escape.
You can see the frustration on Flow's face as McDonald controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDonald postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Flow is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
McDonald content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

McDonald tries for a kimura but Flow is defending well.
Flow is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McDonald is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
McDonald wants to take a breather but Flow manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for McDonald.
We've been hearing that McDonald has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
McDonald controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ronnie McDonald wasn't doing enough on the ground.
McDonald scores with a push kick.
Flow throws a left and a right that both miss

and McDonald counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Flow!
McDonald controlling the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McDonald trying to control the action but Flow is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McDonald takes a little break here. Flow wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

McDonald working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie McDonald dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Flow goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Flow feints with a jab and clips McDonald right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! McDonald is sent crashing into the canvas and Flow leaps in for the kill! McDonald tries to get to his feet but Flow is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that McDonald is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wolf Flow!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Wolf Flow made sure he mentioned KAISER, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
