Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Chekhov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan O Reily (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chekhov comes to the cage accompanied by КАТЮШA. O Reily has chosen Jump Around as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Chekhov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan O Reily!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Reily lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chekhov at a distance.
O Reily with a jab.
Chekhov throws an overhand right that lands on O Reily's shoulder, as O Reily tries to avoid the shot.
The crowd cheers as Chekhov lands an impressive looking overhand right. O Reily doesn't seem phased though.
Chekhov misses with a hook. O Reily ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. O Reily darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
O Reily throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chekhov ducks under a wild hook from O Reily.
Chekhov pivots, looking for a leg kick but O Reily is out of range and Chekhov settles back down.
O Reily lands a nice looking body shot.
Chekhov throws a hook to the side of O Reily's head but O Reily sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chekhov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Chekhov takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
O Reily misses with a hook. Chekhov ducked under it nicely.
O Reily takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
O Reily tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chekhov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten O Reily somewhat.
O Reily takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chekhov tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and O Reily is able to avoid easily.
O Reily punishes Chekhov's body with a nice straight punch.
Chekhov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Anton Chekhov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Reily lands with a nice body punch.
Chekhov misses with a looping left.
O Reily scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
O Reily throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chekhov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
O Reily waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chekhov.
Chekhov throws a nice looking combination but O Reily bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Anton Chekhov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

O Reily closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chekhov quickly recovers to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
O Reily wants to pass the guard but Chekhov is defending well.
O Reily wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chekhov keeps working.
Chekhov is looking to improve his position.

O Reily is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

O Reily is working for a submission of some sort.
We've been hearing good reports from Chekhov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chekhov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of O Reily's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take O Reily's back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chekhov biding his time, controlling O Reily.
O Reily surviving as best he can, preventing damage.
I really don't envy O Reily right now.
O Reily is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Chekhov looking for the choke from the back.

O Reily trying to control but not successfully.
Chekhov has good solid back control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O Reily rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
O Reily works his way to full guard. Good work.
Chekhov's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Chekhov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Chekhov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but O Reily has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Chekhov is looking to defend but O Reily has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Chekhov! O Reily pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Chekhov taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ryan O Reily!

Our winner, Ryan O Reily, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
