Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miyamoto Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Hamad Al Zahran!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi tries to clinch but Al Zahran moves out of range.
Musashi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Al Zahran counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Musashi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Al Zahran dives into side control.

A lull in the action here as Al Zahran stalls from top position.

Musashi pushes Al Zahran away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Al Zahran gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Musashi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Al Zahran wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Miyamoto Musashi will probably get the nod.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hamad Al Zahran wasn't active enough on the ground.

Musashi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Musashi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Al Zahran controls the pace.
Oh Musashi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Al Zahran passes Musashi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
