Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jayne comes to the cage accompanied by Special Ed - I'm The Magnificent. Maia has chosen Vida Bandida as his entrance music. Patrick Jayne is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jayne blocks a head kick by Maia.
Maia misses with a wild body shot.
Jayne moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jayne bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maia's head backwards.
Jayne swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Jayne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jayne has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jayne there as he acknowledges the shot.
Maia dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jayne. That did some damage!
Jayne uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Maia.
Maia loads up on a big right hand but Jayne slips the punch.

Jayne goes for a double leg but Maia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Maia continues to drive forward.
Maia will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jayne up against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maia is looking to control Jayne's arms but Jayne gets an underhook and turns him. Now Maia has his back to the cage.

Maia tries to land a front kick but Jayne steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Maia is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jayne reverses the position - he's now on top in Maia's guard.

Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jayne moves away.
Jayne throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Jayne throws a looping overhand right but Maia ducks down to avoid it.
Jayne catches Maia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Maia misses with an attempted mid kick.
Maia avoids the body shot from Jayne.
Some bone on bone action there as Jayne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A jab lands there for Jayne.
Jayne takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Jayne takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Jayne lands a right hook to the body.
Jayne just misses with a punch to the body.
Maia scores with a spinning back kick!
Maia lands with a thumping leg kick.
Maia throws a head kick that misses.

Jayne feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Maia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jayne's shoulder. That is not cool.

Jayne is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Maia off and has taken his back!
Will Jayne go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jayne is trying to stick to Maia's back but Maia is turning into Jayne. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jayne's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Maia.

Jayne has his feet on Maia's thighs here. He's pushed Maia off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Maia screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Patrick Jayne tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
