Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Marcos Menem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karelin has chosen Fairies Wear Boots - Black Sabbath as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Menem dodges the punch combination from Karelin.
Menem just misses with a punch to the body.
Karelin looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Menem throws a half hearted mid kick.
Karelin slips under a jab.
Karelin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Menem misses with a wild body shot.
Menem lands a nice hook to Karelin's body. Karelin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Karelin misses with a series of wild punches.
Crunch! Menem slams his shin into Karelin's torso.

Menem throws a wild body kick that Karelin sees coming a mile off.
Karelin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Menem was well out of range. Poor timing from Karelin.
Menem lands with a nice body kick.
Menem scores with a kick to the body.
Menem swings for the body but Karelin moves out of range.
Menem fails with an attempt to clinch.
Karelin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Menem.
Menem swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Menem goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Karelin walks into a stiff left hand from Menem.
Menem catches Karelin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Menem scores with a kick to the midsection.

Menem darts in and clinches Karelin up against the ropes.

Menem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Menem throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Menem closes the distance and clinches.

Menem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Karelin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Menem fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karelin manages to avoid it.
Karelin blocks a head kick by Menem.
Karelin walks into a stiff left hand from Menem.

Karelin is rocked!
Karelin tries to get into range but Menem steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Karelin! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Menem scores the big KO victory!
