Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dawson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Dawson throws a push kick but Pu slaps the foot to one side.

Pu instigates a clinch.
Pu dodges an elbow strike from Dawson.
Pu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dawson.
Dawson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dawson looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Dawson has clasped his hands together around Pu's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pu can't do much from the bottom here.
Dawson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pu keeps working.
Pu is pushing Dawson's head away, looking to escape. Dawson manages to hold on to the position though.
Dawson tries to advance to mount but Pu denies him.

Dawson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pu is trying to control Dawson's posture but Dawson avoids it.
Pu sneaks back into half guard.
Pu is refusing to be controlled, as Dawson sits in half guard.
Dawson is looking to advance position but Pu won't allow it.
Dawson is just content to waste time from the top position. Pu takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Pu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dawson wants to get back to his feet.

Dawson pushes Pu off but Pu dives into side control.
Pu tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Dawson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pu off and has taken his back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dawson controlling well, preventing Pu from escaping the position.
Pu turns into Dawson and is now in his guard.
Dawson is looking to stand up but Pu isn't so interested in that idea.

Dawson is looking for a triangle here but Pu uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Pu takes a little break here. Dawson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Dawson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Pu is controlling him well.

Dawson sneaks out the side door and pushes Pu away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Dawson scores with a leg kick.
Pu tries to clinch up.
Pu jabs Dawson right on the nose. Dawson blinks but takes it well.
Dawson misses with a takedown attempt - Pu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Dawson. Dawson obviously looking to wear him down.
Pu checks the leg kick nicely there.
Mike Dawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dawson throws a front kick aimed at Pu's knee but Pu avoids it well.
Pu digs a good hook to Dawson's body.
Dawson is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dawson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pu is concentrating on defense, preventing Dawson from advancing position.

Pu is looking for a sweep. Dawson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dawson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pu's head.
Pu controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Pu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dawson is working away from the top position though.
Pu keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pu tries to kick Dawson off in order to stand up. Dawson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Pu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dawson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pu is looking to reverse the position.

Dawson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pu rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dawson's guard! Nice work there by Pu!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pu won't allow Dawson to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Dawson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dawson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dawson shoots for a double leg takedown but Pu sprawls well. He's pushed Dawson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dawson tries to clinch up but Pu circles away and keeps his distance.
Dawson misses with a head kick.
Pu moves out of range as Dawson throws a body kick.
Dawson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dawson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Pu takes the fight into the clinch.
Pu lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Mike Dawson has been cut.
Pu is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Pu lands a body punch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Pu connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dawson's hands.
Dawson needs to keep his hands up - Pu had a free shot at his head there.
Dawson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pu tries to clinch but Dawson is having none of it.
Pu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Pu lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Pu has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Pu avoids the head kick by Dawson.

Pu cracks Dawson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Dawson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pu finish him?

Dawson ducks into an uppercut from Pu and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!

Rudy Pu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
