Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Badr Hari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Holt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Badr Hari!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holt closes the distance and clinches.
Holt throws a knee to the head but misses.
Holt fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Hari has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Holt uses from the top position.
Hari wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hari will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Holt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holt has managed to get both his arms back between Hari's legs - danger averted.
Hari avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Hari manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Hari pulls Holt into guard.
Holt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hari can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Holt controls the pace.
Hari looking for a sweep. Not yet Hari, not yet.
Holt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hari controls Holt momentarily but Holt frees himself.

Hari is pulling down on Holt's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Greg Holt wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Hari throws a head kick but Holt moves out of range.

Hari looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hari is controlling the pace.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Holt wants to get back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Badr Hari wasn't active enough on the ground.
Holt slips a jab and a cross from Hari.
Holt closes the distance and clinches up with Hari, looking for a takedown. Holt pushes Hari against the cage but Hari circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Holt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Greg Holt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hari rushes Holt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hari has picked Holt up - he's going for a ride! Hari dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Hari misses with a head shot. Holt uses the momentum to regain guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hari tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hari feints and as Holt raises his hands in defense, Hari changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hari passes Holt's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hari keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Holt keeping hold of Hari's head, controlling as best he can.
Holt trying to control from the bottom.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Holt enables Hari to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Holt manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hari throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Holt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Holt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hari throws a big right hand that misses.
Holt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hari controls the pace.
Badr Hari has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hari postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Holt is looking to stand up but Hari isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Holt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Greg Holt has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holt doesn't manage to clinch there - Hari circles away.

Holt tries to sprawl but Hari drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hari is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Holt is refusing to be controlled, as Hari sits in half guard.

Hari is trying to work for a kimura but Holt is defending well.

Holt is trying to maintain the position but Hari is very close to passing his half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, if Hari is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Badr Hari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hari has managed to clinch.
Hari gets underhooks to prevent Holt's takedown attempt.

Hari has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Holt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Hari wants to control the position but Holt frees himself and scrambles - Hari manages to regain control in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hari is trying to ground and pound but Holt uses the momentary lack of control by Hari to regain half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hari trying to pass the guard but Holt defending well.
Holt is not content to let Hari control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hari frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Holt tries to buck Hari off but he can't manage it.

Hari working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Holt slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Badr Hari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
