The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Souza moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
De Souza avoids the body shot from Selmy.
Selmy lands a lovely overhand right.
De Souza walks into a left hand.
De Souza tries to score with a low kick but Selmy moves his leg out of the way.
De Souza tries a low kick but Selmy avoids it.
Selmy scores with a body shot.
De Souza pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Selmy throws the left hand but De Souza avoids the punch easily.
De Souza slips a jab and a cross from Selmy.
De Souza throws a sloppy head kick and Selmy moves out of range easily.
De Souza is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Selmy on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by De Souza. De Souza obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

De Souza goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Selmy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De Souza throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
No joy there for Selmy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

De Souza lands a big head kick that sends Selmy tumbling to the mat! De Souza takes a step backwards and waves Selmy back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Selmy is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Souza throws a leg kick but Selmy checks it.
Oh Selmy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters circle momentarily. Selmy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheers as Selmy lands an impressive looking overhand right. De Souza doesn't seem phased though.
Selmy seems to have got his legs back now.
De Souza lands a brutal head kick. Selmy looks out on his feet and De Souza throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
