Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Gouken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaheli Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonni has chosen Chica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kaheli Sonni acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaheli Sonni!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Sonni.
We've been told by Gouken's head coaches at Predator Training Center (9 Elite Coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sonni lands a nice shot that snaps Gouken's head back.
Gouken throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sonni checks a leg kick.
Gouken's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sonni connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gouken scrambles back to his feet.
Sonni lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gouken chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sonni can pounce on him.

Gouken closes the distance and clinches.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sonni - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Sonni ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sonni no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Gouken got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sonni has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gouken has managed to get both his arms back between Sonni's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sonni wants to take a breather but Gouken manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sonni.
Sonni is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kaheli Sonni wasn't active enough on the ground.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sonni.

Gouken has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sonni.
Gouken fails with a takedown attempt.
Sonni throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sonni darts in looking for a takedown but Gouken gets double underhooks and turns Sonni into the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sonni has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gouken can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sonni is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gouken frees his head nicely. Oh but Sonni has switched to an armbar! Gouken is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
