The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Carneiro shows good takedown defense.
Carneiro lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sanchez at a distance.
Carneiro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez avoids it really well and circles away.
Carneiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanchez tries to avoid it but Carneiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanchez to the ground. Sanchez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sanchez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sanchez tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Sanchez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carneiro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sanchez is still trying to improve position.
Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carneiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Carneiro wants to control the action here but instead Sanchez manages to pass to full mount!
Sanchez prevents Carneiro from getting the reversal.
Carneiro tries to hold on but Sanchez postures up.

Carneiro defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sanchez.
Sanchez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Carneiro sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Sanchez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Carneiro is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
