Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Joe Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Silver.
Silver thumps Armstrong with a low kick.
Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silver lands a leg kick that knocks Armstrong off balance momentarily.

Silver slaps away a takedown attempt from Armstrong, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Armstrong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee calls for Armstrong to work.
Armstrong is trying to pull guard but Silver turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Silver is looking to control Armstrong's arms but Armstrong gets an underhook and turns him. Now Silver has his back to the cage.

Armstrong has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Silver.
Armstrong gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Silver gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

In his post fight interview, Jack Silver started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
