Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Bagares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Davilje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lukas Bagares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marco Davilje!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davilje shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Davilje would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davilje wants to pass the guard but Bagares is keeping the position.
Bagares has momentary wrist control but Davilje slips an elbow through the middle.
Bagares trying to keep a closed guard but Davilje is proving a slippery customer.

Bagares has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davilje can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davilje postures up.
Bagares keeping moving, preventing Davilje from controlling successfully.
Davilje would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bagares has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Davilje has passed into side control.

Davilje tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Davilje has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The strikes coming from Davilje are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Davilje should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bagares is trying to improve his position.
Davilje lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bagares down.
Bagares manages to get back to half guard.

Davilje seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bagares does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Davilje is looking to advance position but Bagares won't allow it.
Davilje thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Davilje is pressing down on Bagares's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bagares is holding on for now.

Davilje looking to sit in guard and control but Bagares gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Davilje wants to hit a switch here but Bagares passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Davilje there!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davilje is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davilje pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bagares connects with a nice looking jab.

Davilje instigates a clinch.
Bagares drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davilje pulls his leg out and moves away.
Davilje fails with the takedown
and Bagares counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Davilje looks for a takedown but Bagares sprawls well.
Bagares lands a slapping body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Davilje 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Davilje avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Davilje shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bagares as he avoids it easily.
Lukas Bagares has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Davilje.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice sprawl there from Bagares as Davilje shoots in.

Bagares tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davilje paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bagares darts in and clinches Davilje up against the cage.
Davilje is pressed up against the cage. Bagares has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Davilje down to the mat. Davilje avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lukas Bagares is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bagares looks for a takedown but Davilje sprawls well.
Bagares lands a nice looking body shot.
Bagares stuffs the takedown.
Davilje throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bagares.
Davilje wants to clinch but Bagares slips to the side
and Bagares counters with a nice body shot.
Davilje throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Davilje takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Davilje tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bagares swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Davilje wants to clinch.

Bagares drives through and clinches with Davilje against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davilje is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bagares gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bagares is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Davilje tries to circle away but Bagares has him pinned against the cage.
Davilje tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bagares smiles and moves away.
Davilje misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Davilje closes the distance and clinches.
Bagares is trying to force a seperation but Davilje has the dominant position.
Bagares wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davilje will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bagares up against the cage.

Davilje manages to pull guard.
Davilje pulls Bagares in close to his closed guard and prevents Bagares from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bagares stopping the sweep attempt from Davilje.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bagares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Davilje looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bagares has picked Davilje up and slammed him! Davilje can't keep hold of the triangle and Bagares manages to pass to side control!
Davilje is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Bagares tries for a kimura but Davilje is defending well.
Davilje is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davilje tries to improve position but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lukas Bagares dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Bagares digs a good body shot into Davilje's ribs.
Davilje chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lukas Bagares is winning the standup battle so far.
Davilje shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bagares is looking to clinch but Davilje is avoiding it.
Bagares swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Davilje.

Oooooh!!! Bagares has knocked Davilje down with a huge combo! Bagares steps away and waves a wobbly Davilje back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Davilje is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bagares feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Davilje crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lukas Bagares!
