The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conrad tries for a takedown but Winshire circles away easily

and Winshire decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Conrad's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Winshire creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Conrad sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Winshire loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Conrad scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Winshire land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Winshire stands and salutes the crowd.
