Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomi Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingsley Nasir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koski comes to the cage accompanied by Catatonic Overload - Heavyweight . Kingsley Nasir acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomi Koski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kingsley Nasir!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski scores with a hook to the body. Nasir takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Nasir takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nasir has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Koski.
Nasir misses with a body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Koski.
Koski connects with a solid leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Koski connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nasir momentarily.
Tomi Koski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nasir is looking to clinch but Koski is avoiding it.
Koski with a nice cross.
Koski connects with a solid leg kick.
Nasir moves out of range as Koski throws a body kick.
Koski throws a looping overhand right but Nasir ducks down to avoid it.
Koski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nasir has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Koski plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nasir throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Koski sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nasir throws out a powerful jab.
Nasir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koski.
Nasir misses with a hook.
Koski throws a low kick but Nasir moves out of range easily.

Nasir fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Koski, pushing him back against the cage.

Koski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nasir blocks a head kick by Koski.
Nasir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Koski pinned against the cage. Koski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Koski ducks under a wild hook from Nasir.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Koski.
Koski lands a nice shot that snaps Nasir's head back.
Nasir avoids the body shot from Koski.
Nasir swings away with a body shot that misses

and Koski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nasir's guard now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Koski is looking to work some ground and pound but Nasir has wrist control.
Nasir avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Nasir is trying to keep Koski in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nasir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Koski is aware though and is defending well.
Koski wants to control from the top but Nasir keeps moving.
Koski throwing strikes from guard but Nasir blocks nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Koski postures up in Nasir's guard and throws a big left but Nasir blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nasir is on top in guard.
Nasir is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Koski has his foot on Nasir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nasir works his way back into a safe position though.

Koski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Koski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Koski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nasir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nasir manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Nasir throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nasir trying to control but Koski is working from the bottom.
Koski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nasir's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Nasir working for a triangle but Koski defends it easily.
Nasir keeping moving, preventing Koski from controlling successfully.

Nasir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nasir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomi Koski dominated that round.
That's time! Koski's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Koski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nasir throws out a loose jab but Koski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Koski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nasir was well out of range. Poor timing from Koski.
Koski cracks the inside of Nasir's front leg.
Nasir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick misses from Koski.
Koski takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A slow jab from Koski misses its intended target.
A jab from Koski does it's job there.
Koski plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koski rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nasir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Koski misses with a head kick.
Koski lands a nice looking body kick.
Nasir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koski as he avoids it easily.
Koski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nasir circles away quickly and effectively.
Koski throws a front kick that sends Nasir stumbling back into the cage.
Koski scores with a nice head shot.
Nasir misses with a kick to the body.
Koski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Koski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nasir has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nasir and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Koski throws a shot to the body.

Nasir is looking to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nasir throws a shot from downtown. Koski moves away and avoids it.
Koski works the jab nicely.
Nasir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Koski manages to avoid it.
Nasir on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Koski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nasir can do to turn this around?
Koski misses with a wild body shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Koski.
Nasir takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nasir.

Koski lands a big head kick that sends Nasir tumbling to the mat! Koski takes a step backwards and waves Nasir back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Nasir is rocked!
Nasir thuds his right hand into Koski's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nasir is still on wobbly legs! Can Koski finish him?
Nasir's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Koski digs a good body shot into Nasir's ribs.
Tomi Koski is winning the standup battle so far.
Nasir is aggressively charging in as Koski backs up avoiding any damage. Koski tosses out a jab and Nasir runs right into it face first! Nasir is out cold! Koski dropped down on all fours and is barking in Nasir's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tomi Koski!
Tomi Koski seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
