Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naru Jarkko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarkko has chosen Hawaii 78 & E ala E as his entrance music. Brian Maddox could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Naru Jarkko's chin.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox looks for a takedown but Jarkko sprawls well.
Maddox has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Maddox throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jarkko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Maddox looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Jarkko connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Jarkko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jarkko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jarkko cracks Maddox with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
