Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones comes to the cage accompanied by Fight Music D12. Daniel Ruanti acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 4, fighting out of New York, Jonny Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Daniel Ruanti!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruanti uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bones.
We've been told by Bones's head coaches at Farrell Pikey Camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ruanti has time to react.
Bones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ruanti counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ruanti has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bones finds it's way round the side to connect with Ruanti's head.
Bones scores with a nice right hand.
Bones looks to land a left hand but Ruanti moved out of range nicely.
A good leg kick by Ruanti.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ruanti avoids the head kick by Bones.
Ruanti lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bones's sensitive parts.
Bones scores with a jab to the jaw.

Ruanti has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ruanti takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Ruanti on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bones. Bones obviously looking to wear him down.
Bones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ruanti checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ruanti stuffs the takedown.
Bones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ruanti's hands.
Bones fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Bones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bones's corner calls for a 1-2. Bones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bones throws a combination. Ruanti tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bones misses with a looping left.

Ruanti drops Bones with a beautiful combination! Bones stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ruanti is looking for the KO!


It looks like Jonny Bones has been cut.
Ruanti throws a head kick but Bones moves out of range.
Daniel Ruanti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ruanti connects with a leg kick. Bones looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ruanti throws a nice inside leg kick.
Bones avoids a kick to the body.
Ruanti connects with a body shot that sends Bones's belly button to the back.
Bones shoots in but Ruanti avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bones misses with an uppercut
and Ruanti counters with a good, hard body kick but Bones shrugs it off.

Crunch! Ruanti slams his shin into Bones's torso.
Ruanti scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bones gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Ruanti counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Ruanti clinches up against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Ruanti content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Ruanti tries to land a knee to the head but Bones blocks with his arms.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Ruanti.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bones. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Ruanti is pressed up against the cage. Bones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ruanti down to the mat. Ruanti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ruanti lands a body shot.
Bones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ruanti.
Ruanti thumps Bones with a low kick.
Ruanti lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bones's sensitive parts.
Ruanti scores with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ruanti lands a big head kick that sends Bones tumbling to the mat! Ruanti takes a step backwards and waves Bones back to his feet - he wants the finish!
A solid leg kick lands there for Ruanti.
Ruanti throws a front kick that sends Bones stumbling back into the cage.

Ruanti scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ruanti throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ruanti cracks Bones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ruanti looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bones goes for a double leg but Ruanti avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ruanti continues to drive forward.
The referee calls for Ruanti to work.
Ruanti lands a hook that snaps the head of Bones backwards.

Ruanti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ruanti tries to land a leg kick but Bones saw it coming and moves away.

Ruanti lands a big right hand that sends Bones crashing to the mat! Ruanti stays standing though and waves Bones back to his feet!


Bones is rocked!

Ruanti moves into the clinch.
Oh Bones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ruanti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ruanti throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ruanti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bones seems to have got his legs back now.
Ruanti throws a solid leg kick but Bones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ruanti.
Ruanti misses with a kick to the body.
Bones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Ruanti dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jonny Bones's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bones throws a lazy right hand but Ruanti sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ruanti fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ruanti has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bones misses the jab.
Bones wants to stay close but Ruanti steps back to make room for something. Bones seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Ruanti and Bones drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Daniel Ruanti!
Daniel Ruanti seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
