Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Axelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inspectah Deck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axelsson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Petter - Det går bra nu. Deck has chosen Wu Tang Clan - Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music. Inspectah Deck has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johan Axelsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Inspectah Deck!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Axelsson misses.
Axelsson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Axelsson misses with a straight right.
A jab from Axelsson does it's job there.
Axelsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deck moves away.
Axelsson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


It looks like Johan Axelsson has been cut.
Axelsson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Axelsson tries to keep at a distance but Deck has taken the fight into the clinch.
Deck working aggressively here.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Deck lands with a short shot to the head.
Axelsson can't find room to land a body shot as Deck controls the action.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Deck in particular looking to stall.

Deck is just content to waste time from the top position. Axelsson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Deck seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Axelsson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Deck is stalling here. Axelsson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Deck seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Axelsson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Axelsson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Deck looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Deck on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Deck is looking to chop away at Axelsson's legs.
Johan Axelsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Axelsson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Deck takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Axelsson lands a nice shot that snaps Deck's head back.

Axelsson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee asks Axelsson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Axelsson prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Axelsson swings around for an armbar but Deck sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Axelsson's guard.

Axelsson has control of Deck's left arm, preventing Deck from doing any damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Deck rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Axelsson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That kick from Deck tenderised Axelsson's leg. Axelsson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Deck feints and then cracks Axelsson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Axelsson down.

Axelsson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Deck finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Deck throws the left hand but Axelsson avoids the punch easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Deck is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Axelsson off and has taken his back!

I really don't envy Axelsson right now.

I would just about give that final round to Inspectah Deck.
I've got Deck winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
