Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanislav Votava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexei Erschov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Votava kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Stand Alone. Stanislav Votava has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Votava misses the shot to the body.
Erschov leaves Votava with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Erschov tries to sprawl but Votava drives through with a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Erschov closes the distance and clinches up with Votava, looking for a takedown. Erschov pushes Votava against the cage but Votava circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Votava thows a body shot but no joy.
Erschov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Votava but Votava pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Erschov throws a head kick that misses.
Votava fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Erschov manages to avoid it.
Erschov fails with the takedown.
Stanislav Votava has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexei Erschov.

Votava comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Votava instigates a clinch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Erschov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Votava - the referee stops the clock and Erschov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Votava. Erschov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Votava lands a nice hook to Erschov's body. Erschov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Erschov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Erschov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Votava.
Votava stuns Erschov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Erschov is trying desperately to land a takedown but Votava is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Erschov.
Votava stalks Erschov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Erschov's face. Erschov staggers backwards, shaken.
Erschov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Votava sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Erschov walks into a jab.
Votava feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Erschovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Votava lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Erschov up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Votava from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Erschov's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
