Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Dzhumagaliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Naoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolai Dzhumagaliev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takeshi Naoki!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naoki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Dzhumagaliev misses the target.

Naoki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dzhumagaliev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dzhumagaliev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Naoki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Naoki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Naoki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dzhumagaliev has his foot on Naoki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Naoki works his way back into a safe position though.
Dzhumagaliev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Naoki is controlling him.
Dzhumagaliev throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Naoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dzhumagaliev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Naoki in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Naoki chips away with some ground and pound.
Naoki trying to control the position from guard on top but Dzhumagaliev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Naoki stands and throws Dzhumagaliev's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dzhumagaliev is trying to control Naoki's posture but Naoki avoids it.
Naoki moves into full mount!
Dzhumagaliev wants to control but Naoki is having none of it.
Dzhumagaliev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Naoki with shots to the head and body - Dzhumagaliev looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dzhumagaliev is wriggling around trying to escape.
Naoki with a couple of short strikes.


Dzhumagaliev is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dzhumagaliev is looking to improve his position but Naoki isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dzhumagaliev is in a horrible position here. Naoki smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Dzhumagaliev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dzhumagaliev is looking to get to half guard.
Dzhumagaliev seems to have got his legs back now.
Naoki landing punches.
Naoki with good strikes from the mount here!
Naoki postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Dzhumagaliev is out cold - huge knockout for Naoki!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Takeshi Naoki!
Takeshi Naoki made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I wanna thank my opponent Vasili Zaytsev, this is a great win and I'm off to bigger challenges.'.
