The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz scores with a decent looking hook.

Hill avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Cruz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hill keeps working.
Cruz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hill has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cruz but great work by Hill.

Hill is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cruz is trying to escape and Hill transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cruz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hill! Very nice indeed!
